EXECUTIVE DIRECTOR (No Current Openings)

Senior Services of America, a National growing Senior Housing Organization that provides independent living, assisted living and memory care services is currently seeking an experienced Executive Director/Administrator to become an integral part of our team at Tallahassee Memory Care in Tallahssee, Florida.

You will have the responsibility to oversee all departmental staff, business development, quality assurance, financial management, occupancy requirements, customer service and healthcare programs and to ensure the community meets financial goals within established budgetary guidelines while maintaining high occupancy through marketing strategies and the assurance of adequate staffing and the continuity and consistency in the delivery and quality of services.  You will lead the team by demonstrating warmth, friendliness, and encouragement, while at the same time while maintaining compliance with all applicable laws and government regulations and in accordance with residents’ needs, and our own policies and procedures.

This position is fast paced, rewarding and challenging.  You will be given plenty of room for creative thinking and development of programs and services for the Residents as well as the team members.  You will be expected to manage the budget, meet occupancy and revenue requirements as well as maintain compliance with all applicable Assisted Living Government Regulations. Juggling many balls at once is not unusual in the Assisted Living setting.

Ideal Candidate Requirements:

  • Current Assisted Living Certification preferred
  • Successful track record in managing all operations in a Senior Living environment, preferably as an Executive Director/Administrator or Manager
  • Bachelor's Degree in healthcare, gerontology, business or related field preferred
  • Education and license in good standing by the State Licensing Authority
  • Current LPN/LVN or RN licensure as specified by state agency a plus
  • Knowledge of applicable state and federal regulations
  • Demonstrated success in census building, revenue generation, staff retention, customer satisfaction and fiscal management
  • Must have or be able to obtain First Aid/CPR certification
  • Ability to read and interpret financial statements and manage a budget
  • Excellent staff retention and customer service skills
  • Work history that supports ability to hire, direct and manage staff
  • Must be able to communicate in both written and spoken English
  • Working knowledge of computer programs including MS Word, Excel and Outlook
  • Must be available by phone at all times
  • Ability to communicate effectively with residents, families, staff, vendors and the general public 
  • Must have compassion for and desire to work with the elderly
  • Must be able to pass DOJ criminal background clearance

COMMUNITY RELATIONS DIRECTOR (No Current Openings)

Senior Services of America, a National growing Senior Housing Organization that provides independent living, assisted living and memory care services is currently seeking an experienced Community Relations Director to become an integral part of our team at The Village Senior Living in Tacoma, WA; and at Broadview Assisted Living in Pensacola, FL.

Specific Duties/Responsibilities:
Responsible for establishing and maintaining referral sources, responding to and following up with all inquiries, tracking and maintaining accurate records for all leads.  Responsible for successful sales closing resulting in new move-ins to increase and/or maintain budgeted occupancy. Demonstrate leadership among team members and assure a smooth move-in process for all new Residents.

  • Achievement of occupancy goals
  • Reports to the Executive Director
  • Coordinates internal and external marketing activities
  • Creates and facilitates an atmosphere of hospitality and customer service
  • Prepares and implements Marketing Plan twice a year identifying key tasks and activities that will result in creating awareness of the Community’s services and amenities
  • Creates and maintains a strong external referral source network
  • Daily follow-up calls to customer lead base
  • Responds to all inquiries in a timely manner and updates and maintains the lead tracking system on a daily basis
  • Determines the source of origin for each inquiry and keeps track of both occupancy and inquiry historic trends to assist Executive Director in the development of the Community Marketing Plan
  • Develops a “Primary Resource Program" for elder housing information.  Accumulates a data bank of community resources
  • Accomplishes marketing and occupancy related reports as directed.  Analyzes, develops and communicates marketing techniques or programs that may be effective in local marketplace

MINIMUM Eligibility Requirements:

  • High school diploma, college degree or some college preferred, but not required
  • Prior experience working with the elderly or in a health care or housing related field is preferred.
  • Credits in business or marketing related subjects are also preferred
  • Prior experience in Hospitality/Hotel/Hospital Industry as a market manager preferred
  • Must have a congenial and friendly personality
  • Demonstrated ability to be a cooperative team player with peers and subordinates
  • Must be able to act in a professional manner inside and outside of the community and positively promote and represent its programs
  • Demonstrated detail, accuracy and thoroughness in daily work habits

DIRECTOR OF WELLNESS-RN (No Current Openings)

Senior Services of America, a National growing Senior Housing Organization that provides independent living, assisted living and memory care services is currently seeking an experienced Director of Wellness (RN) to become an integral part of our team.

Specific Duties/Responsibilities:

  • Provide residents with the medication regime as ordered by the resident's physician
  • Ensures that physician orders are carried out as ordered
  • Make observations of residents, their conditions, and any changes
  • Provide oversight to unlicensed staff
  • Be able to handle multitasking in a fast paced environment
  • Provide proper documentation of all nursing and healthcare services
  • Responsible for maintaining health service plans and resident assessments
  • Monitor effective communications regarding resident care
  • Supervise, evaluate and train Caregivers, Medication Techs and Licensed Nurses
  • Recruit and retain all team members in the department, ensuring their effective orientation and training

Desired Skills & Experience:

  • Must have current license to practice nursing as a registered nurse or a licensed practical nurse with five (5) years experience in the state of Washington
  • Must have experience in working with Washington state regs
  • Approved Delegator in Washington state is preferred
  • Must have current CPR and first aid certification
  • Minimum of 2 years gerontological nursing and nursing administration experience
  • Ability to provide nursing services to the elderly while supervising a diverse staff
