Known as the “Rhubarb Pie Capital of the World,” Sumner has a lot to offer beyond delicious pie! With local cafés, unique specialty and antique shops, Sumner has a friendly, small-town Americana feel with sweeping views of Mt. Rainier.

Explore Main Street shops or stroll through Heritage Park near historic downtown Sumner. Partake in the Daffodil Parade in the spring and enjoy summer concerts in the gazebo or cool down at nearby Lake Tapps. Fall is full of pumpkins and scarecrows, while a bridge lighting with caroling and fireworks celebrates the holidays in winter. Just over 12 miles east of Tacoma in Pierce County, Washington, Sumner is easily accessible from Hwys 167 and 410. A commuter station for the Sounder train also makes it easy to get to-and-from Sumner.
